History of Sal's

Sal's Café was opened in the fall of 1946 by Marcellus (Sal) and Margaret Schneider. They were assisted by their twelve children: Jerry, Sister Rose Margaret (Peg), Doris, Dean (Beano), Margie, Noemi, Glen, Dennis, Dale, Sal Jr., Wilma Jean, and Nita.

In 1971, Dale and Diane (Bip) Schneider took ownership of the establishment and changed the name to Sal's Bar and Grill. They are assisted by their four children: Kyle, Katie, Meghan, Michael.
